Making a pretty little teapot

 

Good morning!  Chrissy here to show you how to use your scrapbook paper to dress up the Teapot Bubble Frame.

For this project, I used Glitz Designs' "Cashmere Dame" paper collection and some May Arts bead strands.

First, trace the teapot layer with the oval cut out onto the paper. Then cut it out.

Next, glue your cutout onto the chipboard layer. Because I wanted to use some Metallic Gold Gel Enamel, I cut the paper off the loop at the top of the teapot.

Now apply the gel enamel.

While the enamel is drying, it's time to start working on the teacup layers. Go ahead and trace them onto the pattern paper.

Once you have both of of your teacup layers traced and cut out, you can glue the paper onto the chipboard and then glue your layers together.

Now it's time for the fun part. Embellishing! For my teapot, I used some May Arts bead strands, gesso, punchinella, and a cameo. I busted out my trusty hot glue gun and started gluing down my bead strands.

Here's what it looks like with all of the beads applied.

I brushed some gesso onto the back layer of the teapot. Once it dried, I glued my punchinella down.

Now it's time to glue the top onto the bottom and apply the cameo.

Creating keepsake memories to last a lifetime

It is Arin here and today I am sharing with you a fun project I made for my oldest daughter honoring her love for her favorite play date critter! Using Globecraft and Piccolo bookboard charms/bezels, 3D enamel gels, Instant UV Resin, embossing powders, along with some added hemp cord and the horseshoe of the pony in the picture, makes this project a perfect keepsake that will last a lifetime!

Step One: Assemble Horse Bezel
Using Piccolo Poodle Skirt and Turquoise Lagoon Embossing powder first apply Piccolo Enamel Embossing Powder Adhesive to the Beautiful Horse Charm Set embellishment and the Piccolo Assorted Acrylic Tag Bezel, dust with embossing powder, set with heat and repeat two more times and set aside. Using Piccolo Metallic Silver 3D Enamel Gel and Piccolo Pink Rose 3D Enamel Gel apply to horseshoe and heart embellishments and set aside to set and dry.

Apply washi tape, trim excess and burnish down with a bone folder to remove any air from under the washi tape to prevent bubbles in the resin.

Apply a very large drop of Instant UV Resin to the center of the project and using a paint brush, brush the thick layer of UV Resin to cover area completely. Set in direct sunlight to allow to cure (it cures in 3 minutes tops!). Once cured, repeat the step of applying the Instant UV Resin for one more layer before adding second layer of washi tape.

Add another strip of washi tape following the same steps above. Repeat the step of applying the Instant UV Resin for one more layer and then once set glue the heart to the horse using Glastique and set on bezel and then apply a thick layer of Instant UV Resin covering the horse.

Step Two: Assemble Picture Bezel 
Using a color printer, print out a picture at the size of 200x200, cut out and trim with a Chomp-A-Dile. Apply a very thin layer Glastique Matte to photo with a Q-Tip and set aside to dry. This will keep the color from running when Instant UV Resin is applied.

Once dry, apply a thin layer Instant UV Resin to the photo using a Q-Tip and cure with either direct sunlight or UV lamp.

Apply Piccolo Enamel Embossing Powder Adhesive to Piccolo Square Tag Bezel and dust with Piccolo Turquoise Lagoon Embossing Powder and set with a heat gun. Repeat two more times.  Then once set and cool, using an Advance Tape Gun (ATG) apply adhesive to the back of the photo and then stick to the bezel.

Step Three: Add Paper and Ink to Letter
Trace MDF letter on the backside of the design paper, cut, apply Glastique Matte and set onto the MDF letter.  Burnish out any wrinkles or bubbles using a bone folder.  Once dry, sand down the edges of the paper and use a dauber to ink the edges for more of a distressed look.

Step Four: Add Hemp Cord
Using hemp cord, wrap around the horseshoe and MDF letter in a decorative way, layering each color finishing with a bow. Wrap circle bezel hole with hemp cord and finish with a bow.

Step Five: Assemble Letter 
Tie square bezel to the "hemp wrap" on the MDF letter and finish with a bow.  Hot glue circle bezel and horseshoe to the MDF letter.

Using Globecraft & Piccolo products for this project has given this the gift of being well preserved. Mottled leaf technique with enamel gels

Hi everyone, Rebecca here with a great tip to make mottled leaves. I have many Fall photos to scrap, yes even though it's springtime now! I adore the multicolored leaves of Fall and wanted to try and recreate that look with some G&P 3D Enamel Gels.

• G&P 3D Enamel Bright Yellow
• G&P 3D Enamel Napthol Red
• G&P 3D Enamel Orange
• G&P 3D Enamel Yellow Ochre
• G&P Maple Leaf Bezel
• Foil

Begin by applying different colors of 3D Enamel Gels onto foil. Don't mix them, just let them overlap each other. Make the puddle of gels slightly larger than the G&P Leaf Bezel.

Place a G&P Leaf Bezel directly onto the puddle of 3D Enamel Gels. Press down gently, then holding it on the edges, lift it straight up and out of the puddle. Set it aside to dry.

Make several leaves, and allow them to dry completely before using them on any project.

I used them as a leaf banner on a fall layout, but this technique can be used with any other G&P bookboard shapes and any color of 3D Enamel Gels. Experiment with it, and have fun!

Adding personality to your stash

Hi everyone, Rebecca here with a great tip to show you. I love embossing things, and Globecraft and Piccolo offers some of the best colors of embossing powder out there. Once you get them in hand, you will find that there is so much that can be embossed. I'm going to show you a quick way to makeover any flowers you may have that need a little "something."

I used Poodle Skirt Embossing Powder, G&P Embossing Powder Adhesive, and some white flowers from my stash.

I applied some of the G&P Embossing Powder Adhesive onto a plastic bag. Foil or any slick surface will also work.

I dipped my flower directly onto the Adhesive and then sprinkled it with Poodle Skirt Embossing Powder.

After heat setting, the flowers now have such an exciting personality. They aren't bland at all! You can do this technique with any paper flowers and any color of Globecraft & Piccolo Embossing Powder.

Up, Up and Away

Hi! Candy Spiegel back to share another project you can make with Globecraft & Piccolo products. This time, I opted to make a hot-air balloon you can pin to your lapel.

I started with a Large Teardrop Bezel. Made from bookboard, these are thinner and stronger than traditional chipboard.

I coated both the front and back with Starry Sky Embossing Powder. (coating the back makes it look like a finished piece of jewelry and not a craft project.)

Then I added stickers from Elizabeth Crafts to make a design on the hot-air balloon.

 Next, I added a bit of glitter to the pattern.

Once dry, I coated the entire balloon with Glastique to seal it all.

Then, I decided to cover a wood veneer butterfly by Prima with Royal Sterling Embossing Powder.

I coated both pieces with the new Instant UV Resin and then glued the butterfly onto the balloon.

 For the basket, I cut out a piece of the extra bookboard the bezels came attached to into a square.

Then I embossed the square with a Sizzix embossing folder and coated both sides with Vintage Silver Embossing Powder and Instant UV Resin.

I poked holes and strung wire through the basket to attach it to the balloon.

Finally, I glued a pin to the back.
