Dream- Found Home Decor Refinished!

Good morning friends!

Pinky here today with a refinished/renewed project.

I am always on the hunt for a bargain as I am sure you all are, when I came across this broken wall decor plaque for only .10 cents I had to grab it! I knew I could fix it up and for .10 cents what chance am I taking?

I instantly thought of the Piccolo Enamel Powders.

(Below) This was the plaque before- see the big chip on the corner.
Which means it is no longer $14.99 but $0.10!

Step 1. Take wire brush or small hammer and chip all edges.

Step 2. Coat edges with Piccolo Enamel Powder Adhesive.

Step 3. Sprinkle on Piccolo Enamel Powder. If you get powder where you don't want it simply brush it off.

Step 4. Heat set edges with crafting heat gun - repeat for the raised word DREAM.

Step 5. Apply coat of Glastique on DREAM to make it pop out more and to protect the piece   Adding Glastigue Gloss will extend the life of your project and add a beautiful glass-like shine!

Step 6. Allow to dry (shouldn't take long!).

That's it! Literally a .10 project and 1 hour of your time!

This would work with a frame and other home decor as well.

I hope you enjoyed my "find" as much as I did and bringing it back to life.

Until next time- Pinky Hobbs

Happy World Card Making Day!

Happy World Card Making Day!!

We're so excited to be on this hop with Paper Crafts Magazine! And, we're excited to share some beautiful cards from two members of our Design Team!

Designer Steph Ackerman created this gorgeous garden themed card using one of our easel cards as a base. Easel cards allow the card to be displayed tabletop and enjoyed as art for years to come. The easel easily folds for mailing and gift giving.

Designer Cristal "Pinky" Hobbs created this stunning card using one of our Piccolo Card Decor Sets and our enamel powders. The Piccolo Card Decor are created specifically for card makers, in the perfect scale for handmade greetings. Cristal used our enamel powders to give the chipboard Piccolos a metallic, aged finish, yet, the card is still light enough to be mailed with one postage stamp!

Thank you for joining us today during World Card Making Day! Want to create greetings like these of your own? Enter to win an Easel Card and Piccolo Card Decor Set using the widget below!

Adhesive, dab onto top HALF the Card Decor Chipboard piece.
Step 2. Coat top half of chipboard with Piccolo Enamel Powder
Step 3. Heat set using Heat Gun.
Step 4.  Using Piccolo Enamel Powder
Adhesive, dab onto bottom HALF the Card Decor Chipboard piece.
Step 5. Coat top half of chipboard with Piccolo Enamel Powder
Step 6. Heat set using Heat Gun.
Step 7. Using similar ink color (mix between the two) dab lightly all over.
Step 8. Wipe off with paper towel.

(This step will add a little bit of tie in on the colors)

your layout, card or home decor project!

Good morning, Pinky here with a fun little project today!

You can see this fun glittery word I applied to this card.
Let me share with you how I made this happen!

Step 1. Cut out Design Adhesive.
Step 2. Apply Adhesive carefully, press firmly all around, then slowly peel off.
Step 3. Using ultra-fine glitter, dust design adhesive.
Step 4. Shake off excess, remove cling glitter using a swiffer duster or any
anti cling dust rag.
Step 5. Coat Little Traditional Oval Frame with adhesive then ultra-fine glitter.

Allow ample time for drying.

Step 9. Trim off excess. Apply flowers.

Best Thing Evah!

Good morning Globecraft friends!!

Pinky here with one of the "Best Things Evah!" the fun and beautiful
Easel Greeting Cards. I cannot tell you how much I have fallen in love with these!
I thought it would be fun to decorate the card using some
vintage paint chip paper. This is how I created this card.
Step 1. Using Beacon 3N1 coat front of Easel card.
Step 2. Lay paper onto glued areas.
Step 3. Trim off excess paper using scissors and craft knife.
Step 4. Turn card over, use craft knife and follow lines to cut out flap.
Now your card is ready for decoration!
I especially like covering the entire card because when you place flap
in correct position, you can see the patterned paper as shown in this photo.
Really there are endless ways to decorate these card!
It's pretty much the best thing evah~
Until next time- have fun crafting!
